Welcome to the Climax Blues Band Official Web Site "Big Blues" — New Album ReleaseWe are glad to be able to announce the release of the new CD on Houndog Records. The label is distributed by Plastic Head Music, and the release date is April 7th 2003. The CD is called "Big Blues", catalogue number HD2003, and consists of Climax's reworking of twelve songs from the pen of legendary bluesman Willie Dixon, including such classics as "Spoonful", "The Little Red Rooster", "I'm Your Hoochie Coochie Man", "The Seventh Son" and "Wang Dang Doodle". The package includes a 16 page full colour booklet, with background information on both Willie Dixon and the songs, as well as lots of photographs. Other Climax releases planned for the near future on Houndog Records are a double CD with the complete session from the live "Blues From The Attic" (HD2002), with previously unreleased material. This CD will be remastered, as will the rereleased "Drastic Steps" (HD2001), which has been unavailable for the past five years. On top of this the band has already completed some tracks for a new studio album, scheduled for release towards the end of the year. | ||
